Sultan Sands

Kiwengwa Beach

A few metres from the white sandy beach and the turquoise-blue sea is the Sultan Sands hotel. The pool, the restaurant and the cosy bar afford great views of the sea – interrupted only by beautiful palm trees.

All 100 rooms are set in a huge tropical garden filled with fragrant trees and exotic flowers. Wherever you go, you will be able to hear the chirping of birds and smell the flowers.

The service level is high and the hotel offers a wealth of activities. If you tire of lying by the large pool or in the shade of a palm tree, you can try your hand at windsurfing, play beach volleyball or perhaps enjoy a relaxing massage at the lovely day spa. Some of the hotel’s facilities are found at the sister hotel “Bluebay Beach Resort”, which all but adjoins Sultan Sands.

There is also a shop selling nice souvenirs, and free Wi-Fi in the communal areas.

The hotel has 80 standard rooms,

24 of the standard rooms are located in six two-storey buildings a little way up a hill next to the reception. There are four rooms in each building, all of which have their own terrace or balcony with space to relax and read a book. These rooms have their own peaceful pool area, often used only by the guests staying in these rooms, but naturally you can stroll down to the large shared pool or to the beach in no time.

56 of the standard rooms are located in round huts built in true African style with a thatched roof. There are two rooms to each hut, but the rooms have their own entrance from each side of the hut, so it feels like you have your own hut. All rooms are well-appointed, with a private terrace and plenty of space. You are only a few minutes’ walk from the pool and the beach.

The last 20 rooms are little huts located near the restaurant, just a stone’s throw from the beach. All of these huts have their own large veranda and access to a private pool (with sea view), which can only be used by guests staying in these rooms. All the huts are located very close to the beach, the restaurant, the bar and both the private pool and the large communal pool.

“All Inclusive” consists of the following:

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served in the main restaurant.

Fizzy drinks, juice, local beer and wine, selected cocktails and “mocktails”, tea and coffee.

Please note that drinks are available for most of the day – but not around the clock. You will be informed of the exact times upon your arrival at the hotel.
