A boat ride in a traditional canoe – a so-called mokoro – is a wonderful experience. You sit right close to the surface and glide almost silently through the water. Crocodiles bask on the riverbank, and hundreds of birds gather in the reeds, hunting for insects. The water determines the course of the trip, but we promise that you’ll have a great time whatever.
You should be aware that there may be times of the year when the water level in the delta is too low for you to sail in a mokoro.
