By the shady shores of the Tsauchb River, surrounded by the Naukluft and Tsaris Mountains, lies Tsauchab River Camp. The camp is located on a former farm, which dates back to 1911, and which has actually served as a camp since the 1930s. German geologists had a base here while they explored the area – and that perhaps says a lot about the geological and natural uniqueness of the place.
The small thatched stone houses that house the rooms are rustically appointed in earthy colours, in keeping with the nature outside.
There is a restaurant, bar and pool, and a wealth of activities are offered by the camp.
