Severin Sea Lodge is located directly next to the Indian Ocean on Bamburi Beach. The hotel is characterised by traditional African architecture and offers 190 rooms. All rooms have mosquito nets, shower, toilet, air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, wireless internet and a balcony or terrace.
Severin Sea Lodge is well known for its hospitality, fine cuisine and friendly service. The hotel has also been recognised by the world-renowned German certification company TÜV Rhineland.
The hotel also offers a range of facilities, activities and home amenities. A mini supermarket, hairdresser, swimming pool, 2 restaurants, a bar, a golf course, diving and a wellness area can all be found close by.
If you want to take things down a notch and stay at a lovely 4-star boutique hotel, where you don’t do much else than enjoy the sun, jump in the pool and drink chilled drinks, but still have access to the facilities offered by a larger resort – without staying in the heart of it – Malindi Dream Garden is the place for you.
Malindi is located a few hours’ drive north of Mombasa, and the town is relatively relaxed, with far fewer tourists than you find in Mombasa and Diani further south. Malindi Dream Garden is the sister hotel of the 3-star Sandies Tropical Village. However, Malindi Dream Garden is totally separate and has both its own pool and its own bar.
The rooms are large, bright and modernly appointed, and all have their own balcony or terrace overlooking the pleasant garden with pool, sun loungers and exotic flowers. There is plenty of space to laze about here – and that’s really what the hotel is all about. Calm, relaxation and lazing on a sun lounger.
If you need a little change from all that calm, you can make use of the facilities at the sister hotel, Sandies Tropical Village, where you will also find the restaurant. It is also possible to buy lunch or dinner at the 5-star sister hotel, Dream of Africa, which is an extension of Malindi Dream Garden – and comes highly recommended!
A stroll through the garden leads you down to the beach, where, every day, yoga, stretching, beach volleyball, etc., are arranged by the animation team at Sandies Tropical Village – but it’s totally up to you whether you join in or not.

Situated on one of the world’s most stunning beaches, Diani Beach, 34 km south of Kenya’s bustling port, Mombasa, is the 5* Leopard Beach Resort & Spa.
Surrounded by a huge tropical garden, the resort is right next to the white sandy beaches and the turquoise-blue Indian Ocean, where the water is calm due to the coral reef that breaks the waves.
There are 158 rooms here of varying sizes. The buildings are spread out in the large garden, so there’s plenty of space here. All rooms either have their own balcony or terrace, and offer free Wi-Fi, a minibar, tea and coffee-making facilities and air conditioning.
There is no need to get bored at Leopard Beach. The resort offers a fabulous spa, a five-star diving centre, golf, volleyball courts, windsurfing – and, of course, the pool and the long white beach right outside your door. Despite the array of activities, it is, however, always possible to find a quiet corner at the resort. It is for good reason that the resort has won several awards.

The water is turquoise-blue and warm, the sand is chalky white, and you are lying in the shade of a palm tree.
If you dream of staying at a small, really fabulous boutique hotel on the beautiful Kenya Diani Beach, The Sands at Nomad is the obvious choice. Here, you will find 25 km of lovely beach and a first-class hotel oozing charm and personality.
There are only 29 rooms, scattered here and there in a large tropical garden with swaying palm trees and green lawns, which contrast beautifully with the fine white sand on the beach.
All rooms are individually appointed with inspiration from traditional Swahili design. All have a mini bar, Wi-Fi, safe, air conditioning and a mosquito net over the beds.
The hotel boasts what is probably the deepest pool in the whole of Kenya – 5 metres – making it a great place to learn to dive. Sun loungers can be found all over the area, allowing you to choose whether you want to lie on the beach, by the pool or under a palm tree on the lawn.
Enjoy a relaxing massage at the hotel’s spa or enjoy some of the many water sports activities the hotel offers. It is also possible to take part in yoga classes, and there is a golf course close to the hotel.
