Combination options for South Africa Holidays

If you would like to experience more of Africa, you can combine your holiday with a stay in magnificent Cape Town, a safari in Botswana, a luxury beach holiday on the tropical paradise of Mauritius, or avisit to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.

Combine with Cape Town

Cape Town is the second-largest city in South Africa. Large parts of the city are intensely modern, marking a sharp contrast to the older quarters with their narrow streets, lined with small shops, museums, flea markets and charming pavement cafés. Join one of the fascinating organised tours or explore the city for yourself.

You can also visit Table Mountain, which stands close to the city and provides a stunningly beautiful view out over the deep blue Atlantic Ocean. Or make your way to Robben Island, which now features on the UNESCO list of Cultural and Natural Heritage sites, and is probably best known as the prison where Nelson Mandela was jailed for 18 years

Choose the Cape Town combination if you would like to experience a South African metropolis distinguished by city life, beautiful mountains and all kinds of historical experiences.

Combine with Chobe National Park in Botswana

Round off your South African adventure with a tour to Botswana. Go on safari in the fantastic Chobe National Park, one of Africa’s best national parks.

The 10,000 km2 national park offers infinitely beautiful and unspoilt nature, not to mention exciting wildlife. It is also known for its large number of elephants. In fact, it is home to one of the largest concentrations of elephants in Africa – some estimates say as many as 120,000. Besides elephants, you can see monkeys, giraffes, hippos, countless bird species and, if you’re lucky, all five of Africa’s big five, too.

The combination of a regular game drive in a Landcruiser and a cruise on the wide Chobe River gives you a varied and diverse safari experience. And you’d be hard pressed to find a more beautiful and more African sunset than from a riverboat on the Chobe River.

Combine with Victoria Falls

You can also choose to round off your holiday with a trip to the breath-taking Victoria Falls, which straddle the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

There is every opportunity to head off on adventures here. Enjoy a helicopter ride over the Victoria Falls, go on a river safari on the Zambezi or get right up close to the elephants at the Elephant Café.

Choose the Victoria Falls combination if you would like to round off your safari holiday with the chance to go on wonderful excursions and enjoy nature treats of a whole new dimension.

Combine with Mauritius

Last but not least, you can finish off your safari trip with a relaxing beach holiday on exotic Mauritius, an island state set in the waters of the Indian Ocean. The island is the perfect base for various types of water sport, diving and snorkelling. You can also go shopping in the quaint little town of Grand Baie, where there are plenty of reasonably priced cafés and restaurants.

Choose the Mauritius combination if you would like to devote the last part of your holiday to relaxing on the beach in the lap of luxury.
